Only 5 months passed after iPhone 3G release and a team of hackers has already figured out a way to unlock it so that it to can be used on networks other than AT&T’s. It's the same team that recently has been seen hacking the iPhone to run Linux - iPhone Dev-Team.

The unlocking hack isn’t out yet, but the team plans to release it on last day of the year - kind of Happy New Year gift :)
